Corona implications for Seaweed sector

2020-03-19

The Corona outbreak is dominating the news and for good reason. It can affect us as individuals, our loved ones and even our businesses. The amount of information is huge and seems to be changing constantly. To provide some clarity in these highly dynamic circumstances, we present a first overview of how this may impact our sector. For now, we focus on business continuity and changes in the Seaweed Platform events.

Actions you could/should take to prepare your organisation

We are aware that the situation may also affect you and your business. To address it as best as you can, we urge you to visit the Dutch KvK Coronaloket - initiated by MKB-Nederland, VNO-NCW, PZO-ZZP and the KvK - and get on top of your situation. Here, you'll find information about regulations that exist, how to act in certain cases and what is recommended to do in case of (for instance): 'werktijdverkorting', B-MKB arrangement, BBZ arrangement, etc. Telephone number Corona desk: 0800-2117

If you feel overwhelmed or are unsure what to do, just give us a call. We may be able to help you move forward.

The Seaweed Platform Workshop on April 16 will be rescheduled.

If you are not a member of the community but wish to join the community, you can contact us via the contact form.

The Work Group meetings on April 16 will continue online. This applies to the Work Groups Public Affairs, Feed & Multi-use. Each Work Group member will be contacted separately with information on how to join the online meeting.
