Project Engineering Intern (Seaweed / Aquaculture)

We are looking for a proactive and technically minded Project Engineering Intern to support the coordination and execution of our joint industry seaweed farming project, North Sea Farm#1. In this role, you will work closely with both the operations and research teams, contributing to the planning, organisation, and optimisation of the project.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project engineering within an innovative and fast-growing aquaculture sector.
About the internship
We are currently offering one internship position.
We are preferably looking for students with a background in:
- Industrial Engineering and Management
- Public Administration with a technical focus
- Mechanical Engineering
- Or a related field within hydro or offshore engineering
It is important that the candidate is available to work from our office in The Hague at least two days per week.
Key responsibilities
- Support day-to-day project coordination, including planning, tracking progress, and maintaining timelines
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and technical overviews
- Coordinate between operations, research, and external stakeholders
- Help identify and solve operational and technical challenges in deployment, cultivation, O&M and harvest activities
- Support logistics related to offshore activities (equipment, scheduling, etc.)
Your profile
- Currently enrolled in a relevant field (e.g. Mechanical, Civil or Maritime Engineering, Maritime Technology, or similar)
- Strong interest in offshore operations, aquaculture, or sustainable engineering solutions
- Structured, organised, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where plans may change
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Affinity with both technical and organisational tasks
- Willing to be present at our office in The Hague two days per week
